Front Tow Bar

Post by wildhorsesracing »

My Hatz shares the hangar with another airplane and over the years there has been more clutter, etc. in the hangar. I have to park it with the tail in the corner against the wall so it is hard to pull out. Has anyone developed a towbar for the front wheels?

Many warbirds have tow bars that use the mains. They are always attached to a vehicle of some kind though; the leverage needed to turn the plane would be pretty large. A quick google search came up with this thread that shows how a PT-26 (and presumably a T-6) do it: http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.o ... hp?t=23026
